Type

Thematic: conjugating with a connecting vowel between the verbal stem and the suffix.
(e.g., ballo > metabolism)
Athematic: conjugating without a connecting vowel.
(e.g. , histemi > histology)

* -() is contracted from --()
** -() is contracted into ()
In athematic conjugation, the final long vowel of the verbal stem becomes short in the plural number.
Subject of the verb is usually omitted when the subject is pronoun.
Lexical entry of the greek verbs is not infinitive but indicative active present 1st person singular, because of easy detection of the verbal stem.
